Two points lost or a point gained ? Greenwood Juniors recorded a draw in this dramatic match. Leeside opened the scoring but greenwood equalized through a penalty from Colin looney after a handball in the box(resulting in a red card for a leeside player). An excellent free kick from Damien Crowe and a nice finish from gary o' shea made it 3-1 in the second half. A late red card for greenwood and two late conceded goals however made it a frustrating night for the Juniors.

Greenwood won the Christian Scully Memorial Tournament after victories over Musgraves and Sensormatic. An O.G. was enough to put Greenwood through to the final. Colin Looney started the scoring for Greenwood in the final by dribbling around the keeper and finsihing into the empty net. Ger Murphy scored the second goal for Greenwood before sensormatic got a late consolation goal.

The Juniors drew 1-1 with Everton in the semi-final of the John McGrath Memorial Tournament but lost on penalties. Dave Walsh scored the equalizer for Greenwood with a sweet left-footed strike from outside the box.

Greenwood 2 EMC 0

Greenwood continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 victory in EMC last night. Greenwood opened the scoring with a "hummer" of a goal from a first time volley from the right side of the penalty box from Ted O' Riordan. Greenwood's second goal came from a parry from the keeper and was easily finished from six yards out.

Greenwood 3 Cork Hygiene 1

Greenwood started off their pre-season programme with a 3-1 victory over Cork Hygiene at the ESB Grounds last night. Eoin Sweeney scored a poacher's goal from a shot outside the box which he diverted home to make it 1-0 at half time. Colin Looney scored to make it 2-0 before Declan Crowe converted the third. Cork Hygiene got a late consolation goal to make it 3-1.
